Planning Your Wedding in a Tough Economy
This past week we had a reporter in the store interviewing me for an article she is writing regarding weddings and the economy. It is an interesting time for many people right now with all of the fear and uncertainty of how much longer this recession will last and how bad it will get. Planning your wedding or other special occasion can be stressful and overwhelming during the best of times, let alone during an economic downturn. This has been on my mind quite a bit lately. One of our major goals in working with you on your wedding or special event stationery is to make it as stress free and easy of a process as possible. Given this, here is a list of 5 tried and true ways of having an amazing stationery ensemble without breaking the bank:
-
Choose an Invite Yourself Assembly Party for a 10% discount on your entire order. (We do all of the design, printing and cutting and then you bring some friends into the studio and we teach you how to assemble the invitations yourself using our equipment.)
-
Use RSVP postcards – this saves money on postage as well as on not needing an extra RSVP envelope.
-
Simplify the design that you want – remove ribbon or a layer in order to decrease the supply and production costs.
-
Use in-house printing options instead of more expensive styles such as thermography or letterpress.
-
Set a budget and let us help you stick to it!
